Press Release: Tuesday 1st Round Play

 

 

The Tuesday competition at Pekin Country Club in Pekin, Illinois for the championship of the 52nd Illinois State Senior Women's Am Championship was an exciting day with "slippery" greens.   Mary Ellen Martin played a beautiful round of 75 to take the Medalist honors.  Close behind was Natalie Savage with 76 and our reigning champion, Jan Bowers, followed with a 79. 

 

Our Hall of Fame honoree, Salley Wessels, played today and is currently in 11th place.  The banquet will be held this evening.  

 

This championship is a meeting of new and old friends playing in a fantastic event.
