52nd Illinois State Senior Women’s Amateur Championship
Dates: September 14 – 16, 2021

Entry Deadline: Entries will be accepted through September 8 to fill the field of 88 players. If the field is not full by the entry deadline, late entry requests may be accepted pending approval of the Championship Chair. Only players with official handicap indexes will be considered for entry. Championship handicaps will be verified before competition starts. Players should confirm receipt of entry by checking the "Entries Received" item under the "Player Information Menu".
In the event of a full field before entries close on September 8, players may register to a waiting list. Players who register to the wait list will not have their credit cards charged. If a registered player cancels, the next person on the waitlist will move to the roster and their credit card will be charged. Players may view the waitlist by going to the registration page and viewing the list of participants.
Registration: ** IMPORTANT ** All players must either register in person or by calling the Senior Am registration line at (815) 200-9820 on Monday September 13 between 11:00AM and 3:00PM
Format: 54 holes stroke play with players flighted by age groups to be determined after close of registration. The Champion will be the low
gross winner across the field. Ties for overall Champion will be determined by sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be determined
by scorecard playoff per USGA recommendations.
Eligibility: Entry is open to women amateur golfers who have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of play and have an established USGA 18-hole handicap of 30 or less. The contestant must maintain a residence in Illinois.
Entry Fee: The entry fee is $240 and includes three championship rounds with shared cart, one practice round, banquet dinner at Pekin Country Club, club storage, prizes, and range balls on championship days before play. Monday, Sept. 13 is the dedicated practice round day. Practice round carts are optional at a player cost of $25. The following additional practice rounds dates may be available. Contact the Pro Shop at (309) 347-3144 to check availability.
Guests are welcome for the banquet dinner at a cost of $35.
Refunds: Any player may withdraw for any reason prior to the beginning of play and will receive a full refund. The IWGA requests that any player feeling ill to please withdraw prior to arriving on property.
Pekin Country Club was established in 1963. Designed by Larry Packard, it is known as one of the finest courses in the area. The club is a full-service private country club featuring golf, swimming and dining.
Pekin CC hosted the 1966 Illinois State Women's Amateur Championship and was chosen to host the inaugural Illinois State Senior Women's Amateur Championship in 1970. Ironically, the inaugural championship was rained-out. However, the Senior Amateur returned to Pekin CC in 1984 and 1993 with those championships being won by Virginia Deennehy and Shirley Dommers, respectively.

COVID-19 NOTES
As we approach the 2021 season, we are uncertain as to the constraints that the pandemic may (or hopefully may not) impose on us all.
For now, we are going to proceed as if this is a normal year with the exception that we will continue to allow withdrawals with a full refund up until the start of play.
